We are getting married,
that day will soon be here.
That first poem i wrote for you,
was one mingled with fear.
How could we ever be together,
after all these years.
But true love never died on us,
it lay dormant for thirty years.
We have had some nervous moments,
brought on by outside forces.
But we stayed with what we knew,
that through our heart love courses.
I always did remember you,
and hoped but thought in vain.
That the girl i fell in love with,
at a distance will remain.
But through a chance of fate,
and only pure luck.
We are getting married,
and on you my heart is stuck.
