The guy that im still waiting for

by lillie   Jun 1, 2014

Two eyes, the color of roast chestnut brown.
The day we spoke, I knew I was down.

Kind with the shyness of your soul.
Friendship upon the horizon, the ultimate goal.

The sun was setting, our skin was to melt.
A mutual resiprication of how we felt.

The way your eyes pierce into my mind.
I constantly wonder, what I would find.

But we randomly met, crazy nights dancing.
My heart searched for you, constantly prancing.

You could be it, the person I'm suppose to meet.
What if that was our last conversation, our final greet.

The few words exchanged, made me feel different.
My views totally re-arranged.

But here we are those silent looks , the cautious smile.
I haven't felt like this for a while.

I like the level of vocabulary that you use. I noticed a spelling mistake of "horizon" so I advise to edit that. But I do like the overall work of the poem. Great job!
