I'll say goodnight
and close my eyes
Pray to God
I never rise

Never see
The breaking sun
The love that made me
Come undone

A life
That never could sustain
Little more
Than endless pain

I wonder if
They'll ever know
How much I longed
To learn and grow

To find a peace
So long, desired
To let go of
the uninspired

Mindless, hopeless
