The Silence

by Amberinaa   Jun 14, 2014

The silence is so deafening, thoughts ringing through my ears.
My fingers cold and fragile, gently wipe away my tears.
My heart beats like a drum, that echos through my brain
reminding me that love seems to only bring me pain.

The silence is so deafening, I can hear my beating heart
my breathing slow and shallow, while you tear my dreams apart.
I made a few mistakes, I allowed myself to feel.
to lose myself inside a love, a love I thought was real.

The silence is so deafening, the wind plays a morbid song
I should have always known that loving you was wrong.
I made a few mistake, I believed you when you lied.
To believe that you would be there to dry these tears I've cried.

The silence is so deafening, You can't hear my pleading heart
you never planned to love me, you just used me from the start.
The silence is so deafening, but I can still hear your goodbye,
as you turn to walk away, I slowly start to cry.

This is beautiful yet so sad and emotions filled. I can relate to this when o thought someone truly loves me but in fact were just using me until something better came along, we shouldn't dwell on these kinds of people but all too often we do.
Well done on a superb write,

  • Oh my gosh you made me cry, that was the most beautiful peace I have read in a long time. It brought feelings I long ago that I had stopped feeling. Thank you.
