Writing in a way is an exercise for the heart and mind. I do the exact thing punching the keys all the time! I really liked how you have penned your thoughts of writing and workout together...good one!

Oh I like the comparison of punching keys to punching a punching bag.... like using your emotions up, aggression or ridding yourself of any frustrations. I love how vividly you describe the process of writing, because I can all to easily imagine how emotional a write can be yet how is the writer when writing? Are they silent or in tears or trembling?

Neat transition to the park scene and showing the depth of those hidden acorns, turning into something more, that something can bloom out of a forgetful act. It's also funny how you mention at the end you will write instead of going out for a run, like this is your form of exercise and it's healthy in that way, a good form of much needed release.

    Very creative!

This was a very creative and interesting poem. I was thrown though many different scenes in your poem, all leading to back to the punching of keys. I liked the many comparisons you used in this poem. You had a lot of nice imagery and a couple of good metaphors in this poem. I especially enjoyed the part about the squirrels losing their acorn in the tall grass only to have this loss turn into a blessing down the road.

There is also a humorous side to this poem that I enjoyed as well. I liked the ending line where you use the mashing of buttons, which is another way of saying "writing poetry", as an excuse for staying inside and not getting exercise. Or perhaps you find it more beneficial and a better stress reducer.

Altogether, this was a unique poem from start to finish. I enjoyed this piece very much and can't wait to read some more from you. Great job and keep writing!
