Clever, Sharp and Beautiful

by Jeraun Terre   Jun 19, 2014

I'm forceful as a boulder
On top of a collapsing hill
As strong as the wind
And the arctic chill
My life force is pure
And untainted by scandal
No words can hurt me
There's no lie I can't handle

I'm clever, I'm sharp and I'm beautiful

Cut your eyes at me
Speak badly behind my back
I'm as thick as a brick house
Yes that's right,
I'm built like that
Because I'm clever, I'm sharp and I'm beautiful

My heart is warm
And as bright as the morning sun
My laughter fills rooms
And captures the attention of everyone
I have a demanding presence
My attitude is like no other
A trait I picked up from Ruby
My amazingly beautiful mother
I'm as fierce as a tiger
But gentle as a feather
My moods are unpredictable
And unstable like the weather
But I'm all WOMAN!
Beautiful, sharp and clever
You can try to throw stones
And lay thorns at my feet
I'll continue to keep walking honey
This lady doesn't know defeat

I may not have the perfect body
With the tiny lips, hips and thighs
I'm as full as the moon
And as round as an apple pie
I'm gorgeous, phenomenal
And love the way I sway
You can't tell me nothing!
About my attitude, shape or weight
I'm clever, I'm sharp, I'm beautiful,
And I love that GOD made me this way

**DEDICATED TO MY MOTHER

I like the poem and the way you have become a voice for someone else. But I just find the last para not so bang on
