Sleep

His legs tangled in sheets.
He silently sleeps.
Falling deeper into an abyss.
Filled with dreams.
Slightly moving his lips.
But no sounds escape.
She ponders what hes thinking.
What imagines race through his mind.
As he moves his arm tightly around.
Pinning her in his grasp.
She begs him not to let her free.
Within her mind alone.
But he seems to hear.
As he wakes and whispers.
Lightly says in her ear.
Confesses his love to her.
Before sleep drowns him once again.

She's careful not to stir.
Not to break his hold on her.
For she loves each moment.
Every heartbeat beneath his chest.
Every gasp of air he breathes.
Knowing.
Feeling secure that she's only his.
He only hers.
Smiling as she lightly kisses.
Skimming her lips upon his skin.
Cradling his body.
For sleep makes him weak.
His body fall limp.
She simply lies.
As the silence begins to engulf her.
Her body at ease.
Slowly starting to release.
Closing her eyes.
Sleep.
