Low and Silver

by Skyler   Jul 4, 2014

Yes, I do, I do recall, a scintillating dress.
Indeed, I do, I do recall, the grace she did possess
A thousand days and nights will pass, but never will she fade
Yes, I do, I do confess, of Moonlight she was made

Looking 'round the darkened room, a hundred people danced
Yes, I do, I do recall, I didn't stand a chance.
Who am I, a passerby, and I must acquiesce
I'll never know the woman in the low and silver dress.

And yes, I do, I close my eyes, and think of what would be
She turns to face and ask me this "Will you dance with me?"
I play the moment in my mind, as if I could forget
My romance with a daydream, lady silver silhouette.

I have a like/dislike of the repetition but I do like the message and also I love that it's diction compared to mine this is better lol but I like the imagery and the metaphors and similes truly beautiful 5/5
