My humanity

by Nil   Jul 10, 2014

Ambient noise soothes the soul
Moonlight calming my mind
A drug like nicotine helps me unwind
Add the caffeine in the morning
Then alcohol in the evening
Repeat the process weekly
This can't be all
This can't be it
What more is there...
When you only live to exist
The air tasting like toxins
Mimicking everything I consume
Sometimes..
I can't even leave my room
The night time is my time
Time for solidarity
The white noise of life
A soundtrack of my humanity
The moonlight hiding that fact
.... my flaws, my addictions
my humanity.
