I loved this poem it made me smile as few poems ever do I've read poems inspired by words or memories of others but never about a book that I recall lol I love that the "ruining" is another way of saying "there's no other that will do for you as I do" and it's beautiful it reminds me of what romance SHOULD be like because romance is a beautiful thing that makes the heart beat happily knowing that you love someone and they love you back great job :) 5/5

I have no idea why, but my eyes are full of tears. LOL...actually I do know why, because this type of love you described here is so incredibly passionate and strong that it makes me want nothing more than to create this with someone.

Hannah that first stanza....shut up. You.....you took "detail" to a whole other level girlfriend! That was phenomenal! I fell in love with this poem almost instantly. .

I want to ruin your afternoons with
lunch pail reminders and 2pm thoughts
of what is waiting for you at home.

^ oh my sweet Jesus <3 <3 yessssss. you ruined me here....

Sometimes I come across a poem that I get jealous of. Like you fool, why didnt you think of this to write about? A word play to deep and passionate. "Ruin" could be positive, ruining who you use to be, to bring out this new person in you that was inspired by being in love. That is just beautiful.

Adding this to my favorites! And reading it to my boo thang :) LOL

So.... Wow. What a backwards way at looking at love. One thought popped into my mind while reading this. Love is pretty difficult to express and for a lot of people it can ruin their emotions. Love is felt in many ways each way different for a person. The imagery and attention to detail is what gets to me though... The story enfolds through out the day and each stanzas holds a piece. Being okay with being ruined by love in a weird way can make true love happen to me. This is such a unique outlook on everything. Well done.
