God's Story

by Someone Invisible   Jul 18, 2014

I thought that I was done
I was ready to just turn in
Ready to give up.
I came this close to breakin down
My thoughts were all cold n black
I had had enough.
And then you reached out to me
You touched my heart n mind
Brushed up with my soul.
Your bright light--that's all I could see
Banishing away all my darkness
And I wasn't so cold,
You said to me, " Look here,
Take a look at my hands
Look at my feet.
I taught, I loved, died n rose again,
If you don't understand, let me tell you
Just child take a seat.
Long ago there were people just like you,
People who were all lost with no one
N no path to follow.
It was a world without sight of its Father,
One filled with hate, anger, sin, greed,
N yes dear, sorrow.
This saddened my holy Father,
That his children united warred,
United sinned.
And so He chose of them all,
One woman to carry their savior
And his only son he'd send.
A man and a woman,
Together blessed from above,
With their virgin birth."
I so sat enraptured with your story,
It was so sad yet, so comforting
Hearing those words.
And I felt my little worries slip away,
Being replaced with the love I felt,
From every word I heard.
"As I grew to see the world as was,
I spread the Word some took as blessing
Others as curse.
I was put up to die on cross,
While asking Father for another way
To which he said love is sacrifice.
Nailed by hands n feet I hung,
To be taken n buried for 3 days
For 3 nights.
When I fell I saved you from your sins,
Because my Father loved you so,
His only Son was laid down.
Child you are never truly alone,
You have just to look to the Heavens
And feel our love all around.
You are always in the company of the Three,
You have all of the Father, the Son,
And the Holy Spirit...
So thrive young one.
