Maple Tree( Double Ottava Rima)

by Michael D Nalley   Jul 25, 2014

There once was a tree that evolved a small wing
or that is what the atheist would have us believe.
Random adaptation making such a thing
but it is just too hard for me to perceive.
The fall must have anticipated the spring
and knew the awesome task the seed must achieve
to fly far from the parent to fertile earth
to find needed space for intended rebirth

Creation goes on I've come to understand
the creator just rested on the seventh day
in every leaf that falls I see a hand
not exactly in precisely the same way
a single insect will think and consciously land
but by intelligence infinitely great
each living thing develops divinely traits
Creation, it goes on , who knows what awaits
