Happy Birthday Dad

by Michael D Nalley   Jul 25, 2014

July 24 1915 is a birthdate
I will soon most likely celebrate.
Though my father has crossed over
his remains rest under clover.
His memories live on in me
here at a town in Tennessee.

This was so touching, I am glad you wrote this, it was touching because of the loss, but also beautiful because of the remembrance.

I liked your ending, the little rhyming flow, and how you keep your dad alive, inside you and everything you do.

    Well done
