Seen and Heard

by Depressed and Healing Sadie   Jul 31, 2014

She's trapped.

No one sees who she is.

Women beat her down, not caring that she wants to be seen.

Her mother wants nothing to do with her.

Her father breaks her spirit.

Her brothers and sisters treat her like crap.

No one cares that she wants to be seen... To be heard.

All she wants is to be seen and heard.

She's trapped, but that doesn't stop her.

Giving up is not an option.

Men see her as an object.

Women see her as trash.

Can't one person see or hear her?

I love this!! I can deeply relate to the pain of not being seen or heard, to be left out, used, abused and torn apart!
This stanza stood out to me most...

Her mother wants nothing to do with her.
    Her father breaks her spirit.
Her brothers and sisters treat her like crap.

    ^^
I grew up with this exact treatment yet I only have a brother not a sister...

I love the way you expressed yourself and let your inner emotions poor out.

    5/5
