What a great metaphor for finding peace with the exes of your love. I think graveyard also could be or is about their past. And all the ones he left behind. Love the word bones used here. That tells me, they don't exist anymore. As in the past is dead and buried. A "no more skeletons in the closet" kind of feel. To me any flower is beautiful and you did well to contrast the eerie feeling you portray. Even in a graveyard there is beauty, you showed that here.

In the second stanza last line, their should be there because you are not showing "ownership" of the vows and using the word "were" mucks it up. Now if you dropped "were" then it would be right. Just a point out :). Otherwise this poem is stunning. The emotions are well played with overall. 5/5

Mel... I adore your metaphoric poetry, it's a style and category all on its own when you write my dear!

I love reading your poetry because I know I'm going to read a part of anatomy in it somewhere and I really like that... it's fun and unique and when you are writing somber and sorrowful emotions, sometimes you need to add a touch of something different, I admire that!

I took a personal connection to this poem as well and that got me teary eyed. It's hard to form a new relationship, possibly running into the "women before" - awkward to say the least and you captured that moment with a unique blend of writing. Love this small poem very much!!
