Marriage is losing its meaning
The ring is being used as an ornament
just for show
Oh look im married
Without taking their vow seriously
Forgetting the words
I love you for better or for worst
Through sickness and through health
Until death do us part
Thinking it'll keep their loved one around
Just to find out their still fking around
They've been married for a few years
So in ya mind your thinking why give up now
Hes my husband
Or she's my wife
We're married
I have to make it work
Only to find out they have a secret life
The person next door is conceiving your husband's child
Or just maybe your wife is pregnant by another man
This world is cold
People are colder
People dont take marriage likely
Their always committing adultery
They never give what it takes to make it work
They like the thought of it
Fantasizing of their wedding day
They like the thought of having a ring even more
In my opinion
A ring doesn't define that you'll be with someone forever
Why do you need a ring?
Regardless everyone knows what they want
he or she will stay with you forever
with or without a ring
So why have a ring
Why invest in a marriage that ends in a divorce
Marriage is losing its meaning
I don't like the thought of it
Marriage scares me
That's the truth
