This is beautiful, touching and very unique as I haven't seen this idea written before.

She doesn't need to read her daughter's poetry because she is her mother and mother's always have that maternal instinct to know what is truly wrong. She doesn't need to read between the lines of her poetry because she can just tell by looking at her face.

I love that she does not 'snoop' and read her poetry. She only reads it when it is offered to her and she never, ever says anything negative about it because she knows that it is her daughter's outlet and she fully supports her need to write.

Yup, just like my sister and my mom. They don't read my poetry. Though I am glad. :P I would feel kind of awkward if they did. Though mothers know us best. I like how you developed the idea. My favorite stanza was the second one. Though what I like the most is that moms give us our free space. They respect that we need some alone time to reconcile with ourselves. And to write whatever it is we have to write. They know that writing make us happy. So they respect it.
