Nature's Beauty

by Baby Rainbow   Aug 25, 2014

She embraces the imperfections
of the world around her, and with
the warmth of her magic touch,
she creates something beautiful
between her motherly fingertips.

The day's sun slowly rests
upon sleepy treetops, as
this sight of tranquillity leaves
me wondering;

how much perfection can be found
if we simply opened our eyes.

    Mother nature is truly a mother who embraces this world and us no matter the rubbish we do. None of us are perfect yet she takes us all in. The ending statement leaves me as a reader a lot to think about..nicely penned.

    Title- This can be interpreted in so many ways as there is so much beauty in this world. You make the reader think here (at least you did for me).

    First- Wow! This is powerful indeed. The very first line tells me that even though the world is full of imperfections, this person (mother nature) can see past that and see the beauty around. Using warmth is great because it flows with the poem well. To me it adds to the scene you created, as in you wanted the emotions to be happy, so when I think of warmth, I think of happiness. Motherly fingertips tells me that mother nature can create most things and make them beautiful.

    Second- This is such a simple scene but the imagery leaves you breathless. Of course it's the sunset but it's more than that. It's just one thing that makes you see the beauty this world can hold. The sunset you could say has a lot of parts, the sky around it, the colors, the ocean. That make you wonder. Beautiful scene that leads nicely into the last stanza.

    Ending- Question mark should be at the end, I feel. These two lines make the whole poem. It really is a question we should all ask ourselves. There is beauty all around, yet we do nothing to enjoy it. Great poem overall.
