Somewhere along the way,

I fell for you.

Today marks two years,

Since i first said hello.

I remember clearly,

The first time you spoke to me,

I felt like all the stars were for once lining up and shining upon my face.

When i first saw your smile

I remember wanting to melt.

I remember the first time,

You leaned in and crushed your lips on mine.

It was at that moment,

That i knew I was meant to forever be in your embrace.

To this day my love for you is

As strong as the winds over the highest mountains,

As forceful as the pressure in the bottom of the deepest oceans,

As mighty as the lion in the deepest parts of the Safari,

But even these things are no match for the love and compassion i feel

When I get lost in the sparkling passion of your eyes.

I wish they would see how our love shines,

As bright as the blaring July sun.

I wish they cared that I love you,

Despite your imperfections.

I wont say I think you have no flaws,

Because I know you do.

Everyone does,

Love is simply being able to overlook them.

I just wish they could overlook our difference.

Age is only a number,

It doesn't effect feelings in the slightest.

I wish they thought of it that way.

But for now,

We will have to be apart.

One day,

We will be together and never be able to be pulled apart based on others beliefs
