Thunderstorm

by WritingtheStars   Sep 5, 2014

Thunder resonates through my head
though there be no storm.
I feel the vibrations
through the pounding.
Strikes of lightning
flashes in my eyes
after the pain in
my head shoots through.
The rain finally begins,
on and off
in short bursts,
welling up in my eyes.
Only a drop or two
escaping down my face.
The only part of this storm
one might notice-
though still
they all remain oblivious.
A storm that exists
only in my head.
How terrible it be
facing a storm
nobody knows exists.

Hey Stringybean, I love this piece like I love all of your poems, but I love the descriptions in this one and the style you chose, you've really outdone yourself with this one.

    "Only a drop or two
    escaping down my face"
^I love that, but remember our deal? No crying.

I miss you. I hope you're doing well. But beautiful piece
