The Cliche We Never Were

I'm not going to say your eyes
are sparkling like the sea
or you are absolutely perfect to me.
That's much too cliche,
of which our love has never been.
We have problems,
we don't always make the other smile,
and sometimes we say things we shouldn't.
But we are real,
and we are happy,
and we are in love,
and that's all that matters.
