Stuck in between

by John Doe   Sep 6, 2014

You know I like you,
I know you know.
I feel a warmth, of a hope that's new,
But express it, I couldn't though.

And your eyes, they have a new shine,
A certain glow, when they lock with mine.
But every thing in between is just awkward silence,
it's so still, so calm, yet violent.

And one day, I muster up courage and ask,
My heart frozen like a crystal glass.
I ask just for your number, you say maybe later,
And my heart knew no anxiety, no nervousness any greater.

Your gone, leaving my world all grey,
But when, where, how you didn't say.
Maybe later, what does that even mean,
Is it a yes or a no, you've stuck me in between.

I hate hate hate that feeling of being left to hang in between, in that grey shaded area of indecision, you can't sleep, can't eat, can barely breath at times the tension builds up so much.I love that you write about events and situations rather than just emotions, it's very refreshing.
