The Night She Climbed a Tree

by Maple Tree   Sep 8, 2014

She bathed in leaves of a fallen Maple tree
as the sun began to bid day, adiu.

Cloaking her soul as branches traced
tracks of achy tears, desired by the
night of shadowed breezes.

Bare feet mated with bark,
climbing upon a night
when the moon knew
her better than she
knew herself.

for misty clouds of midnight,
whispering messages as the hoot
owl stood guard nearby,
sharing hushes and sighs
with a crickets song,
darkness gave
approval.

The union was beautiful-
the night she climbed
a tree....

I love the way you did this, especially how it looks like a tree and doesn't take any of the beauty away from the flow or writing style. I love the story as well, but i'm really hung up (with good awe) at how well you styled this and the creativity within that. Your story here is wonderful and as always you have penned something fabulous.

    thank you for writing.
