Overlooked Nature

by Baby Rainbow   Sep 18, 2014

September's sun
shines upon the mountain top,
as its warmth rests against my
rosy cheeks.

The air is calm and gentle,
perhaps saving strength
for winter storms.

Eagles soar the sky above me,
spanning miles between the
shadows of the clouds.

I breathe in deeply,
tasting the calmness like candy.

I fill with admiration
for the beautiful
nature around me,
which is overlooked
by the busy strangers
passing by.

First: The time frame is september , which is great because it tells me that it's starting the end of summer and becoming Autumn. The imagery is very lovely though. The use of Rosy is perfect!! Because it tells me that there is a chill in the air. But it's a bright sunny day. It works out all so well together!

Second: There is no cloud in the sky and the air is windless. So it really is a clear day. Winter is definitely coming soon but it's that cold time of year. This poem is also great because it is the reality of the present. It's not too chilly or too warm yet.

Third: What a pretty scene you painted with the eagles, they really are majestic creatures!. Soar is a great word here because that is what eagles do. They are proud to be who they are and that is what soaring tells me.

Ending: nature is truly overlooked by a lot of people I agree. When we are so busy with our lives that we cannot see the beauty around us. Lovely write, 5/5
