Natures serenade

by Dancing Rivers   Sep 23, 2014

The wind whispers softly to me
The water droplets dancing around
Leaves change from dull green to lively lime,

Whilst brilliant shards of light flash
Through the unsuspecting sky
The silver pillows join as one
To form a blanket of grey haze

The sun sleeps far beyond the clouds
To wake at last after the rain
She smiles down at me
Warning my soul with her tender eyes

The rain is gone, I'll miss her so
But now the sun will comfort me
A golden glow amidst my silver blanket
their moods conflicting, yet harmonised

Don't leave me yet my silver blanket
Don't make haste and take the breeze away
For though the sun, she brightens my day
The gentle breeze will soften her blow

To make my clouds and sunshine at last
Into a glorious harmony ever after
