Day and night

by Dancing Rivers   Sep 23, 2014

I am the night
I am young and free
Beautiful and starry eyed
Oh, how lovely
I softly sigh
I'm your comfort and protection
Yet by others I am feared
Though I hold many a wonder
To many it is not clear
I breath a gentle kiss upon your skin
And yet, many others,
In my cold anger shall die
May you see what's deep within
Though many call me evil sin
Alas, it is me
I am the knight
Son of the night.
I am the day
I too, am young and free
Though not starry eyed
And though at dusk I shall be deceased
I hold much hope amongst my skies
And so I welcome you at every start
As I embrace you in my warmth
I hold you, close to my heart
So that only good may come forth
I am your comfort and protection
When in the night all your fears are unleashed
You won't feel rejection
Instead, you'll carry with you
The sweet memories of me
There's nothing more to say,
As you've come to see,
I am your bright new day.

    Beautiful and artistic poem.
I loved the rhythm of it and the words which you used.
The way you molded the words together to place a beautiful ad vivid display of imagery was breathtaking.
The metaphors which you used were well placed and easily able to imagine within the readers minds.
Lovely write, very enjoyable and emotionally deep.
