Title: I think the simplistic wording works well, because it is very easily understood. Midnight is a silence all it's own, but you have to answer why inside the poem.

First: To me this is a continued stanza from the title, which to me kind of works both ways. You set up the poem nicely yes but there is no capturing image really, at least for me. But setting up the poem works well to really wow the rest of the stanzas. It seems this person is sitting alone in the dark of midnight listening to the clock roll by, each tick at a time but why do they feel that loneliness or sadness?

Second: Ahh , see this stanza is amazing, though it's short, works well with the first stanza to play out the story line. Death, this person died and now you are left alone with this silence of your thoughts. And now they are floating up above to heaven, which tells me they had a very good life.

Third: This is such a beautiful stanza hon. Your sky was once filled with stars of light and happiness, but now it is a place to call home for your love. An empty shell of who you were. Love this stanza.

Ending: You just want to be next to this person again. To fill the void of this loneliness. This poem is very well worded as it shows the emotions you feel about this person, this is full of love but mostly sadness. Well done 5/5
