Haunted Sky

by Maple Tree   Sep 25, 2014

I became a silhouette
as moon kissed night-

Ghostly travelers began
their journey from east
to west,
landing upon star
constellations.

Spirits show their
faces, I become
the frightening
unknown, lurking
in the dark,
amongst trees
in a fallen forest.

Sight unseen
unravels marvelous
and quite spectacular
manifestations
of what I believe
to be real.

The mind is a wicked,
ghostly entity-

and a writer makes
it reality within a poem.

Such stunning imagery,I love the sensations created with the words, almost an unsettling, paranoid tranquillity, at least, that's how I interpreted it, with a sense of subtle dread in the end when you say "and a writer makes it reality within the poem"it's frightening in the sense that it is actually Very much the truth for most if not all poets.
