War, death and murder.

Gasping reality in the first sentence here. Very true-to-life in the aspect that these things happen every single day and so many of us carry on our way without realizing what is going on in life and just how fleeting it truly is.

Bullets target innocence,

Sharp and decisive authenticity here. A very sad truth behind the words you have stated above, it makes me want to shed a tear to know all of the innocence which goes unnoticed by the media and society as a whole. The corruption and hidden death total from war and every day life is heart-wrenching. If only the people knew how many women, children, and men go harmed, maimed and murdered when all they are trying to do is live a decent life, maybe then this world would be able to reach for the ultimate, peace.

Somber tone to end this poem. An obscure outlook on life and this world but when all hope seems lost it is tough to keep the faith and belief in goodwill to all. Strong and powerful poem, but keep your head up and continue to fight the good fight. One person CAN make a difference.. As Michael Jackson said, let's be that change.

Thank you so much for taking part in my contest. This senryu rings true to how the world is right now. I thought the title was excellent and did a great job in explaining it inside your poem.

Line one: This is all part of the world we live in nowadays. School shootings and you hear of murder all the time. The media portrays this well, that's sadly what they do. The states are always going to war with other countries and blindly following nothing. It's sad as well but true. This world used to be a nice place but now it is falling apart.

Line two: This talks about the shootings the world is going through especially the united states. My wife read me a stat that shocked me, we have had over 100 shootings in the us since 2009. This world is becoming increasingly violent with no hope in sight.

Ending: I love this line a lot because that is what it does, evil shines down and all the good hearted people disappear. This was an excellent verese that rings so much truth. Not a lot of people think they are doing harm, when they cause the most harm. Great write. 5/5
