My twentieth birthday

Today I have left my teen age behind
today I celebrate my twentieth year on earth
today marks the day I was ushered into the world

today I will make merry
my birthday is here again
with friends and family it will be celebrated

but this time it will be different
as I am out of my teens
it will be celebrated in a matured way

with joy I celebrate the day I turn twenty
cutting the cake , hearing the crowd wishing me a happy twentieth birthday
makes me happy

even though I wish I could go back to my teen age
am glad I have turned into an adult ready to accept the responsibility that comes with it
