Childhood Amnesia

by Everlasting   Oct 2, 2014

In a narrow corridor,
a hand with short nails,
gently sways a crib suspended
from window's bars
to window's bars
across each others walls,
while feet on the floor
tap a song . . .

tip tap
tippy tap
tip tap
a baby naps

While fingers voraciously snap
a riot of lullabies,
And the baby sleeps into adulthood
without ever remembering
the crib,
nor the taps...

in where she took her naps.
