I really liked the simplicity of this poem, and also how you describe the cactus, giving it life. I find that most cacti are always surround by barren deserts, and they are quite hearty plants even amongst the harshest conditions. This poem reminds me of when I traveled out west to California, and I went through the desert areas and saw little vegetation other than a few cacti, which seemed to be thriving. |
