Architect Of Loneliness

by Sandstorm   Oct 7, 2014

A light lost in the blaze of life,
In this new world he imagined no strife.
A long way from what he used to know,
He no longer knows what to expect tomorrow.

He drifts along the river of time,
His life; a melody with no rhyme.
For though his laughter ever fills the air,
Of his greatest enemy he must beware.

I hope you avoid a fate like his,
Trying, the impossible to bridge an abyss.
Made by spreading himself too thin,
A thousand connections trying to begin.

Too scared to use his capacity to love,
Creating many pallid relations but nothing above.
Empty words and false promises ensue,
And of what to do, he bears no clue.

For he is too distracted by what he's chasing,
To feel his heart, slowly pulsing, aching.
Surrounded by his own deluded illusion,
But confused by other's exclusion.

I hope that this problem he will address,
Because it brings me great sadness,
Someone who spreads so much cheerfulness,
Is doomed to be the architect of his own loneliness.

    I love this too...
hmmm....i notice some sort of a pattern in your writing...it might just be me but..you write more about loneliness and the apathetic and pathetic condition in this world... :/

P.s. You can always talk to me if you want to talk to someone ^_^

The depth in this poem is filled with a sadness one can touch and sink into. I also like the title you have chosen for that is what drew me to read it. It was worth the read and for me one I can relate with...take care.
