Swollen Heart

Putting out emotions inside a poem is always great and it seems like you have been doing that a lot lately. I can't imagine what you must be going through, but through your eyes I see tears that flow and a loving friendship that ended too soon, and the memories that you do remember are of good times and that is truly what hurts the most. Through my eyes as the reader I see: almost the same thing, but to charish the time you had together. It's okay to cry, don't let anyone tell you differently. Grieving is different for every single person and that's okay. You loved them dearly, that is very clear, the emotions you brought forth are wonderful, I'm glad you were able to write this. <3. 5

I cannot deny how much it hurts
to know you doubted my love,
yet through the years you always remained
a rock whom I could trust.

The emotions in this stanza stand out to me and it's truly something since you can feel the heartache, how you will always admit to being hurt, yet you had someone you could lean on when the times were hard and you just wanted support they were there and you loved them very much, stunning!

Days passed by as our love grew
yet somewhere inside,
you felt me slipping away.

The love that one person can get as time goes on by, is beautiful, but here it says that they were either dying or the other person was dying and it leads to the ending still beautiful forboading stanza.

My heart breaks achingly,
knowing that time had stolen you
before my blanket of reassurance
could safely comfort your doubtful mind,
in the way you had always comforted me.

It shows to the vivid imagination that the pain is mostly in this stanza as it now tells you that the person you love is no longer alive and you wanted to heal the person of their doubts before they died but didn't get to have that chance before God took his soul, tragic truly sad that this happens but it does happen.

For you, my dear, have always been
the other half of me,
and the pain of your doubt
swelled my heart like a sponge,
containing every tear of grief
that I have cried, since the
day the angel of death
forced us to say goodbye.

My favorite stanza the heart breaks (emotionally mind you) at this ending because it shows exactly how much you will always love this person and it shows the constant pain you are since that person has died also I love the part that mentions the angel of death you gave Death a beautiful part in this because not everybody can call death beautiful nevermind admit that it hurts their heart when they lose the person they love...beautiful poem and it's really emotional...Godbless to the soul that took your heart Saffie 5/5
