I am soooo in love with this poem! The lines that stand out to me are the ones about being under the covers for so many hours, yet not having felt rested at all. Like you have been in bed, but your mind has not been, and you may as well have got up and did something else!

I like the relationship that seems to in the poem, about thinking of someone who you want to love you and protect you, and yet not necessary romantic feelings.

The wording of the poem is simple, and seems to just travel through this thought pattern you are having, as if you were writing it as each single thought came to your mind.

I really like the irony of the coffee, and how you complain about not sleeping, and yet still find yourself drinking coffee. I have come across this so often, with caffeine products, and people cannot stop them, and yet deny the caffeine has anything to do with the inability to sleep!

I adore your title, so much better than other cliché coffee poems, and their titles.

Really enjoyed this, and could so relate to your words!
