Lost Angel

by Stargirl   Oct 12, 2014

I used to love reading about guardian angels as a child
and I remember meeting one named Rafael.
For someone who came from heaven,
He didn't seem like he had been through hell.

I warned him about my storms
and said it was okay.
Little did he know,
loving me had a price to pay.

I only loved writing about him but not him,
so I had to say goodbye after a while.
He said losing me would feel like losing a limb.
But despite that, we still parted with a smile.

Months later,
I found out angels have storms too,
some of which they cannot go through.
Rafael had to end them all with one pill.

I remember loving to read about angels as a child
and I remember meeting one named Rafael.
He was my latibule, my safe haven
But like all angels, he had to go back to heaven.
