Will.

by Poet on the Piano   Oct 12, 2014

Breathe a little deeper than you've been,
just breathe a little deeper, dear.

That will to live and fight? I've heard of it, before.
Buried under suffering, budding delight,
seeking to learn form the upright.

And it must be because of You,
not anyone else's attention or wide stare;
I found it here under this roof.

Voices gathered today, we sang in praise
of abundant thanks, and I felt such
underwritten joy when I played those hymns.

This is where my spirit begins
in You...

I still have no sight as to where I'll go,
the type of work or where I'll plateau,
but I promise you I won't think of the end;
too long have I tried to defend, apprehend
when I have so much in front of me here.

This table of You is how I will pursue,
the meaning of life and beauty and fear,
knowing though clouds descend, You
the lover of me, could never disappear.

A freewrite after returning home from church. Kind of wrote this as possible "song lyrics" as well.

    It does have some beat aided with the rhymes. I thought it may have been written as a song before reading the note. I like.
