Homeless Children

by Baby Rainbow   Oct 13, 2014

The children that nobody wanted
slept rough on the solid cobbles
that aligned an abandoned street.

A strange moon dangled over them
as twilight shadows lengthened.

Hearts of darkness
sleeping in the shadows
of everyone else's blindness.

And these lonely children
that nobody wanted,
continue to plead with their
little eyes, each time a stranger
passes them by.

Such a heart touching and sad poem.
I don't know about the place where you live but in India I see homeless.. Poor.... Children on the streets.
This poem does show the horrible conditions these children face

5/5.Nicely penned the agony of the homeless children.
    "continue to plead with their
    little eyes,each time a stranger
    passes them by."
With a hope, that someone will endow.
