    This is a beautiful poem Andrea, but strangely dark for poems I'm used to reading from you.nature element is still there "deception was a flicker of a burning flame" "a stone sculpture..." "I feed on the night, moon is a beckon of guidance" these are all natural elements, yet they're darker, harder, not as gentle and sweet as your poems usually are.
    The second lady stanza almost seems to lift the mood a little"moon is a beckon of guidance"but then the final line hits rock bottom"a shadow dancer of death"it's almost as though you're teasing death and flirting with it, yet you are death, and death is you. A stunning piece, very sharp and beautifully written :-)
