Blood Stained Things

by NoHopeLeft   Oct 20, 2014

Everyone knows that cutting is a release,
Everytime your mind is clouded,
You just want peace,
Especially when it's too crowded

The pain is a sudden rush,
Gliding across the skin,
Watching the blood gush,
Putting blood stained things in the bin,

There is something alot more pleasing,
I'm not saying that i self harm,
Because I suppose I do,
I let the pressure build up inside and I get a tattoo,

You see I still self harm,
I just to it creatively,
The blood and pain is still there so listen and be calm,
When your down, upset and depressed leave that razor be,
I'm 28 I know my stuff so listen to me...

(I know self harm/cutting is a release, as I'm covered im scars and im reminded everyday of the reject and my metal health I've suffered. Read my poem about 'TATTOOS' coming soon!)

I wasn't expecting this given the title, as well. I do like that it ended on a higher note than it started it, and I like how honest and open this piece is. Using tattoos as a release seems like a great alternative! Although I must admit, I'm a bit curious to know how much tattoos you've got now? Regardless, powerful write!

This isn't what I expected from the title and the twist on it i thought was very clever, I liked it :)

Just one thing, you need to add some full stops and kill off some of your comma's, read it out loud and im sure that you'll get it :)

I like this one too. I like the flow you have, and again, the whole suicide and cutting thing.. people have it twisted. I never thought about tattoo's that way though, that's pretty creative!
