BACK TO OUR DAYS MY LOVE

by IBRAHIM DWIDAR   Oct 20, 2014

Your soft voice whispering in my mind
Controlling me from head to toe
Torrents of memories blowing my head
Reminding me of our dreams and all things we used to do

Those days my light
We thought they'd never hide
We used to sing, dance night and day
We lived the life we chose
We fought and thought we'd never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.

Then the hectic life hit us
You lost ur patience on the way
If by chance I'd see you again in this world
We'd smile at one another and we'd say

This how was the world in our eyes
We thought we would never say goodbyes
We'd sing and dance forever night and day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

Just tonight I'm looking again at our sea
Nothing seems the way it used to be
In the waves I glance a strange reflection
Is that old man really me !!!!

Those days my love
We thought life never be such tough
We'd sing and dance forever night and day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

------------------------------------------------------

This poem is meant to be a message in a bottle I throw it in our memories sea, crossing the distance and the time to reach my love, my only real love I have never ever loved but her. The Finnish rose that her scent still blowing into my life till now although all the years passed.

(Life can take us away from each other. But it can never cut our love memories which dug their way down to the deepest place of our hearts)
Note : This poem is not 100 % my work. It's slightly based on famous song which reminds me of my life love....

Very nostalgic and full of meaning... The idea of the old man looking back at you from the sea reminds me something of a feeling I have on a similar subject. Very beautiful and descriptive! 5/5
