Dying Leaves (Collaboration)

by Maple Tree & ddavidd   Oct 24, 2014

Velvety skies of
stardust tears,
showered
tween
death and madness.

A man walked empty of himself
brimful of death
with the hollow hole of his darling
in his other wing
and a hat
bursting of rabbits
of clouded thoughts.

A woman bore witness to
magical souls and
countless images
of chaos, wading
in pools of dying
leaves.

Walking on fallen debris of
once living leaves
like a dead sea
forevermore palpitating
under their feet
that they could still hear
her waves heaves.

They walked upon opposite
roads, yet cemeteries
connected them in spirit,
as the moon rises
and
falls.

Like a yoyo
on the clever hand
of a careless boy
like an endless night
upon an abandoned path.
