Wasted Beauty

by Baby Rainbow   Oct 29, 2014

Dying flowers,
petals shed.

Empty vase,
water fades.

Sighs unheard,
wilted remains.

Blindness wins,
beauty unseen.

Love this because each stanza holds it's own poetic scene and could be considered for it's own poem, this all flows very well together. You are trying to capture each emotion you feel by using something that is part of your life or a metaphor about your life. With the flower you could be the flower, once vibrant and beautiful, now wilted and uncared for. The water has a great representation of a lover, he was the water that helped you bloom.you continue to wilt because no one sees you. And the beauty you once had goes unseen by any etes that pass by. Great write, nominated.
