Studying - The lytic Cycle

by Everlasting   Oct 30, 2014

One long night...

and these books
might just turn into viruses
that infect my brain

first by attaching its content to me,
then penetrating into the cells in my brain,
to later undergo biosynthesis in me,
until its content matures in my head,
and finally,
everything I learnt
it's released out of my brain

till the next morning
during my test,

I realized
I am dead...

---

P.S. I am glad, I'm not a bacteria.

----------

Just messing around. Trying to learn the steps the Lytic cycles has.

^^ I just like the music in this video. I didn't pay much attention to its content.

Lucero, I like the more biological side of this poem. A very creative and unique way to learn or memorize information for a test. The poem itself was flawless as usual. I like the apt description of learning and how it correlates to the lytic cycle. The poem also had a couple of scientific words in it, which I had to go look up, but that wasn't a negative at all. Just furthering my eduction. Other than having to stop to look up words, the flow was great through the poem and the message is clear as day although your metaphor is very unique and clever.

Once again I find myself amazed at your work. I hope you continue to grow as a poet and as you grow your skill and maturity do as well. You have a tremendous gift and I am thankful I am able to read and enjoy that gift. Great job and keep writing!
