New Beginnings

by oddi tea   Oct 30, 2014

Life's diary closely resembling a mishmash of clipping carefully cut and pasted to resemble some surreal semblance of abstract thoughts borrowed from other's books.

Time to turn a new page, put down the scissors and glue, dip the dried quill of imagination in the untapped well of ones own soul. New chapter. New words. New beginning.

Dear me,
This is MY life!

What a beautiful write. This also can be interpreted in a lot of ways. I believe the first part you are talking about being someone you are not and idolizing someone, copy and pasting for someone. You listened to them and lived your life by them. Next stanza holds a realization that you have your own life and you can write your own chapter without anyone's consent. You have broken free and found your own path in this life. And this is definitely your life to live your own way. 5/5

This is one simply beautiful poem.I read it before once and didn't pay much attention but now, the second time that I read it....it's beautiful.

The way you have described this diary of your life is way too good.I love this poem especially these lines :

"Life's diary closely resembling a mishmash of clipping carefully cut and pasted to resemble some surreal semblance of abstract thoughts borrowed from other's books."

This poem is just perfect and very well written. This poem definitely goes in my favourite poems list.
