Falling soft and mellow

by Mads Avnboeg   Nov 6, 2014

Falling soft and mellow
Like frozen tears
From a cold heart
Slowly laying a cover
Of dampened silence
Over your screaming ignorance

The chilled air
Fills my lungs
A cold reminder of your
Misplaced sourness
While your self glorified standard
Gently flutters
In the insensitivity of the bitter wind

You sweet self-glorifying cruelness
An antipode of the snowflakes white
They should be falling pitch black
Like your self-righteousness
Pretending that you care
But you couldn't care less
Playing your angles card

Playing the wronged
So that you can make believe to be right
Harvest the love and empathy
Of those to whom you cry you crocodile tears
Pretending that you are an little angle
But I know, why the snow is black
Tomorrow brings hope
Of a better day
