Careful Choices

by Cody   Nov 8, 2014

What is here today
May be gone tomorrow
Our time on this earth
Is only for us to borrow
Like a storm that blows through
Leaving only destruction in its path
If the people we hurt only knew
How we really feel in the aftermath

We must be careful with the words
That we often carelessly choose to speak
For the consequences that come afterwards
May make the situation no less than bleak
So mind your tongue, always speak from the heart
For there is no promise of a tomorrow's fresh start

I agree, choosing our words carefully it's really important. Though in person, it's hard to do it yet it is not impossible. Something that is worth working on and putting into practice. Keep writing.
