Weight in My Eyes

by Meena Krish   Nov 9, 2014

You have seen me in my worst
and cheered on till I became the best,
picked me up from the deepest dirt
with a precious heart I've savored from birth,
now all I have is your floral shawl
to cradle me when I'm hurt,
no tender voice for wounds to be nursed
when the weight in my eyes fall on earth...

You have executed this write very justly. This is brilliant, must have been written by the profundity of your heart. This poem has driven me towards the great pain that you had suffered. I sense great grief in all lines.... Also I sense that the one who cared you a lot has departed. Heart-touching write. 5/5

Awwwhh! *Hand-to-heart-Gesture* This is so beautiful and sad! I wonder if you're speaking of one of your children? That is tough :(

Oh Meena.....SIGH.......This write is so beautiful and tragic at once. I always read poetry aloud and always two or three times and .....oh god you can write!

i'm pretty sure that I don't need to say the flow, word choice, emotion were perfectly balanced and for me, simply breathtaking.

it is such a relatable write and so very heartfelt I genuinly thankyou for sharing.
