Interesting! To write a poem from the view point of a painting. So here is a question who longs/yearns to be appreciated/seen. The painter, the objects in the picture or the picture itself!

    I really like this!

First: Beautiful simple imagery here captures the readers attention, it seems you are rowing a boat in the night. Oh, using peaceful night tells a lot of the surrounding area. The waters and sky are calm and maybe there is stars. But the loneliness sets in the ripples of the water and that is when you realize that this world is difficult when you are alone, so you look back and see nothing but everything.

Second: The boat is a metaphor for your home or even friend, it seems like inside your head you hear voices of the past, but they don't want to meet you or say hello anymore. The winter nights is also a great metaphor for the cold feelings you have or it could be just that: a winters night where it is cold and lonely, but the lake is not frozen so it must be the first.

Third: Oh wow this ending is great, and you show the point of view of the painting and the way it feels lonely. You seem to turn the painting into a person that just wants to be feel loved. Anyways you did a great job with this one 5/5
