Cries in the Dark

by Rob   Nov 9, 2014

In the corner of my room at night,
As soon as the darkness sets in,
A form appears in a shadowed mist,
With the most frightening and evil grin...
.
Night after night depraved and alone,
Fear kindles the same awful dreams,
And takes me into a world unknown,
Filled with the terrible deafening screams...
.
It crawls on the floor in a sea of blood,
And it is on this fluid it feeds,
The eyes glowing red as the form floats alone,
Looking for where it will plant its seed...
.
Something is there and it is watching me,
As I lay here so deep in the fear,
Not knowing if this is the end,
And that brings me straight to tears...
.
I feel it floating above the sheets,
Where I have tried to hide my head,
But all attempts to escape the form,
Who won't rest until it knows I am dead...
.
It must smell the stench of the fear of the damned,
The aroma of all those who cried,
Never a chance to escape the realms,
Of the abyss where in the darkness they died...
.
I can feel the pain of the pierce of my skin,
The sheets now red from the blood,
In the darkness the form takes its prey,
And screams evil cries when its done...
.
Far and beyond a nightmarish dream,
Evil defiles the room as it spins,
It no longer matters anymore,
Death has brought this to the end...

Make sure it's still not there in your closet or any corner. Good write I can say. 5/5.
